This page is devoted to the art of alternative cinema. Are YOU tired of lame, sorry excuses for the same old recycled Hollywood plots and stories? As of recently, the AFI (American Film Institute, for those of you who didn't know) released its topp 100 picks for all -time best films. Yes, I know, we're all tired of seeing that damn AFI 100 Years intro at the theatre, but I thought you'd be interested in knowing the actuall 100 films that were picked. I must say, many of which were very commendable selections. Of course, many I felt were deserving were left off as well. Find the AFI's Top 100 picks here.

So many wise words of advice... so many wise statements on the meaning of life... but, all from "dead" people. Where do we get "living" words of wisdom? From the movies, of course! Now, don't think of me an estranged recluse, whose only sense of reality is through the dark glass picture tube. Rather, I ask of you to consider the wealth of great screenwriting and the wonderful things we can adopt from film; and not pick up the crap and broken shingles of poor cinema.
